Overview
Standardising video across a football league
Since 2018, Panoris has been supporting the Swiss Football League with a tactical video system designed to unify match recording and analysis workflows across competitions. The project started in the top division and was later expanded to the second league. This created a consistent video environment across stadiums and teams, replacing manual recording processes and fragmented workflows. Today, the system provides a reliable foundation for tactical video analysis across the league, supporting both live and post-match workflows.
Challenges
What needed to be solved
The league required a consistent and scalable approach to video capture and analysis across multiple stadiums and competitions.
Replacing inconsistent workflows dependent on camera operators
Standardising video quality and camera angles across stadiums
Making video available faster and in a usable format
Moving from delayed analysis to real-time access
Adapting deployment to varying stadium infrastructure
Building a system that can evolve over time
Providing reliable operational support during matches
Developing the solution gradually with the league
SOLUTIONS
League-wide video ecosystem
Panoris delivered a tactical video system designed to standardise capture, simplify workflows and support both live and post-match analysis across the league.
The system combines technology deployment with practical operational workflows across the league.
Camera systems and infrastructure adapted to each stadium and competition level.
8K camera systems in the top division and 4K sideline systems in the second league.
Local workstations for video processing and immediate access to footage.
Infrastructure adapted to the technical conditions of each stadium.
Software and support enabling video workflows across matches and competitions.
Cloud-based platform for video access, streaming and system control.
Operational support ensuring reliable performance during matches.
Ongoing consultation and system development based on evolving league needs.
Local processing and immediate access to footage
Panoris App enables streaming and remote access
Matchday support and continuous system development
The system was developed as a long-term collaboration rather than a one-time deployment. The setup was continuously refined based on real matchday experience and evolving league requirements.
Operational context
From manual recording to structured workflows
Before the introduction of Panoris, match footage depended on manual camera operators. This often resulted in inconsistent quality, varying framing and the risk of missing key moments.
With the system in place, video capture and analysis became more structured and efficient. Operators can focus on live tagging and editing instead of handling the entire recording process. Key moments are available immediately, which makes analysis faster and more relevant for coaches and teams.
Another important shift was the move from post-match review to live access. Video can now be used during matches. This changes how quickly and effectively teams can work with video.

Benefits & Results
What changed with the new system
Consistent tactical video across competitions.
Lower dependence on camera operators and manual recording.
Immediate access to video with live tagging and editing.
Video available during matches, enabling real-time decision making.
Improved image quality including 8K deployment in the top division.
More efficient workflows for clubs, analysts and coaching staff.
One of the most mature and stable Panoris league deployments.
A system that continues to evolve with new requirements and upgrades.
Forward development
Next phase of the system
The next step in the project is the gradual introduction of goal cameras across selected stadiums. The rollout is based on feasibility studies that assess technical conditions, installation options and practical limitations at each location.
This approach ensures that the expansion reflects real stadium conditions and allows the system to develop further without compromising reliability or usability. It also supports a responsible implementation aligned with the league’s operational and budget realities.
Summary
A long-term system built for league-wide use
The Swiss Football League project shows how a tactical video system can transform league-wide workflows. Manual recording processes were replaced by a standardised and reliable video environment across competitions.
This is one of the longest-running Panoris league deployments. Over time, the system evolved from post-match analysis to live workflows, changing how clubs and coaching staff work with video.
The project was developed through long-term collaboration with the league. The system continues to grow, with further expansion planned through goal camera implementation and ongoing development.
